Exhibit A: turning on the tungsten light. Practice in the US, not so much in Sweden. Lesson learned. ✏️🧠

I know, I know. As some people on Reddit pointed out when I uploaded these for feedback, open cabinets is not standard practice. I still prefer this to show that a human will live here, but I totally see why real estate people choose not to. 🤝

Same here. But you gotta give it to my friend: his place looks like this 90% OF THE TIME
I thought that his symmetrical minimalism added a lot to the shot but then again, that was me rather than industry practice.
Also, the tungsten light is photobombing again on this one. Next time I'll stick to the flash and the ambient blending.

This man should be a Kinfolk ambassador 📙

This was not sky replacement, but I know how to do that so it's always an option. 🙂

Lessons learned:
1. Don't spend too much time in one shot like I did in the first 3, even when the light coming through the window is majestic and you want to portray it.

2. More detail shots like floor, handles, windows, storage, etc.
3. Lights off! Sweden has a penchant for warm lights and that is no bueno for color accuracy.
4. Even though your friend lives in a symmetrical capsule from the future, cabinets remain closed (unless suggested otherwise by the client)
